Intersystems Gates Query System

We're sorry, but the ISG database is currently down. Please check back later.

In the meantime, please see if any of our FAQs below can answer your questions.

FAQs

What is the ISG?

Intersystems Gates is the branch of Regional World Operations responsible for the deployment, maintenance, and day-to-day operations of civilian gate travel. ISG's first transit department opened above Hillson in 2264 and is still operational today.

Which gate hubs should I use to travel?

This will largely depend on your location within the standard network. Inner Systems typically have more network time due to higher traffic, but the Mid and Outer Systems have fewer accessible hubs. By specifying your location (GDI or planetary system) into the query tool above, you can determine which hub is the most convenient for you.

How long does a gate trip take?

Surprisingly, the majority of your travel time will be spent in security, embarkation, and disembarkation. The actual transit through the network can take anywhere between 5 to 30 minutes, and depends on factors such as network traffic load, line connectivity, and the physical distance to your destination.

What can I take with me?

Baggage allowances vary depending on your Interstellar membership. At minimum, you are permitted 1 baggage case, 1 personal item, and 1 carry-on, free of charge. Note that these are subject to weight and size restrictions, and must not contain any materials prohibited for gate travel. Please consult the query tool above for more information.

How safe is gate travel?

Very safe. In fact, it is statistically much safer than travelling by ship, regardless of distance. ISG has over 15 years of experience and operates under the highest professional standards. Our pilots and gate technicians receive the highest-quality training possible and are regularly assessed to ensure they are performing at no less than exceptional levels. If you have any specific concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us.
